Choosing the Best Bridal Party Colors

Deciding on a color scheme for your wedding can create a challenge. You may have a color you have dreamed of having since you were a little girl, or you may want to choose the color that is in for the season. In today’s world there are many tools that can help you create the most unique and beautiful color scheme. Here are three basic tips to help you decide what colors will look the best on your wedding day and how to incorporate them!

Tip #1: There are many great websites that can help you create a wonderful color scheme. Color Scheme Designer is a great tool to help you choose the color you want and the colors that go well with it. This website offers a lot of choices so sit down and play with the endless options!

Tip #2: If there is a specific color you have in mind for your bridesmaids find a vendor that makes the color you like. (A list of the vendors we carry can be found under the bridal party tab.) This makes it easier for you to decide what bridesmaid style will work best for your bridesmaids by narrowing it down to a designer. It also relieves the stress of finding a style you like but the designer does not make the color you want. If the vendor’s website does not have the colors they carry you can always make an appointment at Lilla’s Bridal Boutique to view swatch colors and the bridesmaid styles that come in your chosen color.

Tip #3:  There are many ways to include an accent color in your wedding.

The first, and most simplest way, is to add a colored sash to your bridesmaids gown. Even if the gown you choose does not have a sash, Lilla is always willing to custom make one. You can discuss this option upon your visit with one of our sales associate in further details.

Another way to include an accent color in your wedding is to incorporate the color in your wedding gown. Colored shoes are a great way to add a small glimpse of color to your wardrobe. Additionally, you can add color to your gown with a belt. Many designers are creating gowns with colored belt or Lilla or Dianna could always custom make one for you.

Lastly, do not forget about all the extra pieces you’ll have at your wedding that could be spruced up with some color. This could include your bouquets, center pieces, chairs, or even your wedding favors and thank you cards!
