As promised, our second Tuesday Tip! Getting ready for your first bridal fitting sends butterflies through every brides stomach. Not only do you get to finally see your dress, and maybe for the first time since you purchased your gown, but you can to see how it will fit perfectly to your body making your wedding gown truly feel like yours. This appointment brings excitement as your family and friends come together again to share the joy of your wedding.


Before you get ahead of yourself, it's important to decide what is essential to bring you your bridal fitting. Get ready, and pack your bag with the following items!

The Essentials:

Bridal Shoes- Your bridal shoes are the most important part of your fitting. Your seamstress cannot hem the dress without knowing the height of your heel. 

Undergarments- If you have decided to wear special undergarments, such as a strapless bra or spanx, you must bring the exact items you will wear on your wedding day to your appointment. These items can alter the fit of your gown. If you have any questions about undergarment option, you can speak to your bridal consultant or your seamstress to help guide you in the most comfortable option. 

The Optionals:

Veil- You can try your veil on with your gown, or choose one at your appointment, to help envision your big day. 

Jewelry- You may bring your jewelry along, or pick out a set at our boutique, to help add the finishing touch. 

Camera- Smile, and be prepared to make memories that will last a lifetime. 

Water- It is always important to remain hydrated. 

Good Luck Charm- Make this item something that is close to your heart, or your something borrowed, so you feel connected to that special person or memory throughout your wedding experience.
